Year ONE!

So I'm turning O.N.E on Sunday and I am looking back at all of the fun I've had over this first year! I've come a long way since I made my unexpected entrance into this world... I'm nearly walking! I've gained around 16 pounds this year, have 8 teeth making their debut, clap, laugh, crawl and high five with the best of 'em. Mom and Dad are getting ready to throw me a big party and the theme (of course) is lions! Roarrrrrr!

I'm eating real people food these days. Cheese is my very favorite food (just like dad) I could eat it for every meal. Mom and dad try to introduce me to new foods all the time... tilapia, mangos, avocados, couscous... just give me CHEESE people!

I have a love for all doors... aahhh doors, do you guys have any idea how cool these things are?! Open. Close. Open. Close. Open. Close. These things are magical. I don't know how anybody gets any work done during the day with all of these fun doors around! A close second to doors is the ever incredible light switch. I don't get to play with those as often because they are soooooooooo high. I wonder when I'll be tall enough to reach them on my own?

I love to play with Charlie-Dog, I tease her with her squeaker toy, she barks and I laugh! Sometimes I like to grab her beard, but I think I get more enjoyment out of that than she does. All in all, I'd say we're the best of friends.

All in all it's been a pretty amazing year. I'd like to give a shout out to all my friends at Prentice NICU for giving me a fighting chance in this world... I'll come back and visit you all one day soon. I'm looking forward to all of the fun things that are in store for me for next year and, hopefully, I'll share them with you here on a more frequent basis!
